Dennis Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 in Cape Coast, Ghana.
We are a small group of voluntarily working people and started some years ago to help malnourished infants survive by providing them with the necessary nutrients. Since malnutrition in childhood is still a huge problem in Ghana and it is only food that is needed, we asked ourselves, why don't we help?
However, after some time, we also started to support children with school materials or school fees, to ensure a future perspective for them.
Finally, we wanted to address the issue of children's rights by trying to establish, within a cultural framework, a place where children can play, do their homework, have the opportunity to attend workshops, and may speak their mind about problems and questions in their lives.
To help sick and malnourished children, to improve their quality of life, by providing them food and medicine, with the aim of decreasing the impacts of diseases in early childhood and educate mothers about nutrition and health.
To ensure children have access to education by supporting them with their school fees, uniforms, and other items, as well as offering homework help and promoting support for education in their families.
To support cultural exchange, to convey traditions and cultural values in everyday life, and to establish a cultural playground for children where their voices are heard.
